As the Head of QA, you will lead Snowfall’s automatic and manual software testing practices and efforts and ensure that our revolutionary products meet our high standards.

Leading a team of 4, you will be responsible for driving our end-to-end QA strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives, continuously evolving this as the business grows.

As we are API heavy, you will predominantly cover testing of backend (APIs), as well as iOS and Android applications, as well as out frontend applications. Therefore, it is preferred if you have experience with both automated (UI/API/load) testing of frontend (mobile/web) features or microservices functionality and manual (functional) testing.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all our testing activities across all our teams in all QA practices

• Execute a comprehensive QA strategy for our landscape of Junction products

• Lead, develop and maintain ways of working, processes, routines and approaches of the QA department while remaining fast, flexible and agile

• Manage a team of four; two Automation and two Manual QA Engineers

• Continuously look for ways to improve CI pipelines

• Provide technical leadership to the QA team, providing guidance and mentorship to team members; building and shaping the team as we grow

• Support Delivery, Engineering and Product in streamlining processes and removing blockers to the delivery process

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that product/service requirements are clearly defined and that all stakeholders are aligned on quality standards

• Monitor and report on the progress of QA activities, ensuring that deadlines are met and that deliverables meet quality standards

• Make sure that our QA efforts improves our products and make us sleep better at night

What we’re looking for:

• Proven track record in software development and testing, both functional and automated, hands-on experience and interest is a must

• Experience managing a team of QA professionals, a leader who enjoys coaching and mentoring

• Experience with version control systems (DVCS - Git) and CI/CD tools (preferably Gitlab)

• Solid command of Python, Java or Golang

• Demonstrable experience with automated testing framework or tool for frontend (Selenium/ Appium/Cucumber or similar) and at least one for API (for example Postman/ Newman)

• Solutions driven with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional international teams.
