Role and responsibilities

The ideal Android Developer is self-motivated, has a hands-on attitude to work, loves coding, is passionate about their work and their teams work and wants to continuously progress their skillset. They must be comfortable working in a virtual work environment with resources spread across the globe who predominantly work from home. One day is usually not exactly the same as the next, so being flexible and nimble will be a huge benefit. • 
       Build high performance applications for Android platform from scratch as well as work on the advancement of existing apps
• Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams of product management, UI/UX designers, backend and QA teams at various stages of development process
•  Work with outside data sources and APIs
• Based on the project needs and end goals, proactively suggest improvements to architecture and technologies for maximizing development efficiency
• Mentor and coach other Android developers within the team.

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Android development
• Deep understanding of Android SDK and release process to the Play Market. 
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs;
• Fully up to date with general mobile landscape, Android ecosystem, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
• Good knowledge of Jira and Agile principles
• Combination of good coding skills, end to end thinking and problem solving approach and track record of delivering bigger chunks of work on their own.
• University degree in computer science, software engineering  or a related subject would be a big plus.
• Fluency in English both written and oral
• Openness for frequent short- and long-term travel internationally, to meet team-members, clients, etc
